As of today (Tuesday) morning the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the US has risen to over 700.
At least 26 people have died from the virus with the majority of deaths being in Washington state.
Most of the deaths appear to involve patients ages 70 and older, according to health authorities.
Worldwide the virus has infected more than 113,000 people globally and killed over 4,000.
All of Italy and its 60 million residents are under lockdown.
The US State Department is urging Americans not to get on cruise ships.
The advisory is especially for people with underlying health conditions.
It said underlying conditions include heart disease, chronic lung disease, diabetes and conditions that suppress the immune system.
