One of the NBA’s biggest stars Lakers Lebron James says if the league bans fans from games due to the coronavirus outbreak, he’s not playing.
James told reporters that aside from his teammates, “I play for the fans.”
Without fans in the stands, James said simply “I ain’t playing.”
James’ reaction comes after the NBA brought up the possibility to its teams.
The league is asking them to consider what actions they would take in their arenas to play games without fans inside.
The NBA wants teams to identify team arena staff essential to stage a game.
In addition, temperature checks of players and staff could also be done.
The NBA’s consideration comes as some sporting events worldwide are being delayed or played without fans present.
