Ever since it was agreed that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan would step down as working members of the Royal family, questions have swelled as to what they would do about the word “Royal” in their brand-name.
The website they launched only weeks ago is SussexRoyal.com, the instagraham handle is @SussexRoyal and they made trademark applications for the same brand name internationally.
Now the couple have announced their intention to drop the word Royal from their Sussex Royal brand.
The decision will be effective after spring 2020.
That means the couple’s new nonprofit organization which is expected to launch in the coming weeks will no longer have the word Royal in it.
And the couple have removed their Sussex Royal trademark application already.
The rebrand will allow the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to pursue the next chapter in their lives and the financial independence to support it.
