Iowa’s Democratic Party chairman Troy Price has resigned.
On Wednesday (Yesterday), Price issued a resignation statement just over a week after a glitch delayed caucus results in Iowa by days.
Price who oversaw the process quickly came under fire.
He previously defended the delay.
He then apologized for the faulty reporting methods and took responsibility for them in his resignation.
The Iowa Democratic Party will soon begin a partial recanvass, or recount, of voting precincts flagged as having potentially inaccurate results.
On Saturday Price says he will call an emergency meeting of the State Central Committee to select a temporary chair.
That person will oversee the recanvass.
If there are no major discrepancies, the party would Pete Buttgieg the winner, followed closely by Bernie Sanders.
