Moviegoers have been showing up in droves for the latest “Star Wars” movie.
“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” has raked in over $500 million worldwide at the box office since its release last week.
The movie opened to mixed reviews.
But earlier this week, the Midtown Art Cinema here in Atlanta provided open captioning for Deaf moviegoers.
And just about everyone gave the movie a thumbs up including myself.
I have seen every Star Wars movie.
And this new movie was the perfect way to wrap up the series.
I’m completely satisfied.
My Sign1News coanchor Crystal Cousineau was there as well and interviewed other Deaf Star Wars fans as they left the theater to get their thoughts.
I just saw the Star Wars movie. Wow! It was amazing. The visual effects and special effects were just whizzing by.
I just came to see the movie with open captioning. This is my first time watching with open captioning. I always used the captioning device. It was exciting to watch today. Amazing! I really enjoyed the open captioning. It was a good movie.
WOW! When I was watching the movie I wasn’t really sobbing or tears streaming down but in the back of my mind I was bawling.
It was a wonderful movie but I’m not gonna give you any details. You have to come see it yourself. Also I want to thank GCDHH for hosting this with captioning so Deaf people can come. I thank them for that.
The movie was wonderful! And it was even more awesome with the captioning. Deaf people need that. I hope they do that more from here on out.
Wow! Young, old, black, white, women, men, nature, awesome technology all in one. From birth to death to resurrection, parents, children, brother and sister all in one movie. What’s even more awesome was the captioning, open captioning! I’ve been desperately waiting for the movie to be released with captioning. Before I had to wait to rent it from Blockbuster to have captioning or watch with the big green goggles and a captioning device. But now it’s on the screen and that is so nice!
I really enjoyed watching their comments. I agree with all of them. Honestly you really have to go see it.
