Authorities in Arizona have a heartbreaking update on the desperate search for three children who went missing after being swept away by flooding.
Officials have confirmed two of the children have been found dead and this weekend’s weather is creating challenges for crews looking for a third child.
Authorities say a vehicle with nine people inside was crossing the creek when it was swept up by rushing water.
It happened Friday on Tonto Creek near the New Mexico border.
Four children and an adult got out of the vehicle and became stranded on a sandbar in the middle of the creek.
A rescue helicopter picked them up.
A woman on shore was also rescued.
The relationship between the adults and the children is still unclear.
Meanwhile severe weather is threatening to hamper rescue efforts.
Crews desperately searching for the child are also dealing with flood warnings and dangerous weather conditions.
