Three storms are brewing across the country, putting millions of Americans in the path of inclement weather this Thanksgiving week.
The storms could possibly affect travel plans for those who plan on driving or flying for Thanksgiving.
Early this week, freezing rain is expected to turn into snow in the Northeast.
Heavy rain is expected from Philadelphia to New York to Boston, while snowfall is expected to blanket New England, possibly as far north as Maine.
And in the Midwest, on Tuesday rainfall in Chicago is expected to turn to snow.
And early in the week, parts of Wisconsin and Michigan can also see heavy snow.
But by Thanksgiving day, much of the Midwest should see dry conditions.
The National Weather Service predicts that by Wednesday the storm system will clear out of the Midwest, leaving cold temperatures through much of the region.
But further west, a third storm system is expected to bring rain to the coast.
And snow could impact holiday travel in mountainous areas of Oregon, California and Nevada, which is under winter storm watches.
Meteorologists caution that forecasts can change.
