The Arctic blast hitting the Eastern two-thirds of the U.S. is affecting more than 215 million people as of Wednesday.
And it has contributed to at least four deaths.
According to officials, on Monday three people were killed in a crash in Michigan.
And on Tuesday in Ohio a 21-year-old woman was killed in a 16-car pileup during a heavy snowfall.
Several other people were hospitalized.
The brutal weather has also grounded flights and left passengers stranded.
For Tuesday and Wednesday more than 410 U.S. flights were canceled.
Meteorologists say freeze warnings remain into the deep South including Florida.
And by Thursday morning, the mid-Atlantic region to Maine could suffer record-low temperatures.
On Thursday, temperatures are expected to rise across the country.
Although they are still expected to be 10 to 20 degrees below average.
