People in Puerto Rico lined up for hours to get water and supplies ahead of tropical storm Dorian.
The storm is expected to strengthen to a category one hurricane by Wednesday, bringing strong winds, rain and storm surges.
Dorian’s expected path takes it just west of Puerto Rico.
That still could affect the island but be less damaging than a direct hit.
But Puerto Ricans still have fresh memories of hurricane Maria.
The storm slammed into the island in 2017 leaving death and widespread destruction in its wake and left nearly the entire island without power.
The National Hurricane Center says it’s too soon to determine the magnitude or possible impact of Dorian on Puerto Rico.
Residents are not taking any chances.
They are stocking up on water, canned goods and gas just to be safe.
