A fire at a Pennsylvania daycare killed five children early Sunday morning.
The children ranged in age from eight months to eight years old.
Four of the five children were siblings being cared for at the daycare.
The fifth child was the homeowner’s child.
Eight people were in the home when the fire broke out.
Four were injured when they jumped from a second floor window.
The homeowner and a neighbor were injured while trying to reenter the building to save the children.
The fire chief says the cause of the blaze is under investigation but it may have been related to an electrical malfunction.
Fire investigators found only one smoke detector in the attic of the home and say had there been more, this tragedy may never have happened.
