69-vehicle pileup leaves dozen injured (ASL – 12.23.19)

On Sunday morning, 69 vehicles were involved in a massive pileup in Virginia.

Police say the crash happened on Interstate 64 in eastern Virginia during heavy fog and icy road conditions.

51 people were treated at the scene or taken to local hospitals, including two who are in critical condition.

Officials don’t know the cause of the initial accident, but the fog and ice were factors.
