House Intel subpoenas Giuliani for Ukraine docs (ASL – 10.1.19)

On Monday, three house committees issued a subpoena to the president’s person lawyer Rudy Guiliani.

Guiliani has been subpoenaed to turn over documents related to President Trump’s controversial phone call with Ukraine.

Giuliani was named 31 times in a whistleblower complaint that says Trump abused his official powers by asking Ukraine for information on Joe Biden.

Giuliani responded to the subpoena requests, calling them concerning and saying be believes it would violate his attorney-client privileges with the president.

Giuliani says he’s undecided on whether he will appear before Congress.

Giuliani must turn over documents related to Ukraine by October 15.
