FL, GA, SC begin evacuation orders ahead of Dorian (ASL – 9.2.19)

And at this point hurricane models aren’t certain if Dorian will make landfall in the US Tuesday or stay offshore.

Officials in coastal counties in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina are not waiting to find out.

With millions of Americans living along the East Coast, the three states have ordered mandatory evacuation orders.

Several Florida highways will suspend tolls to ease the evacuation efforts while thousands of utility workers and the National Guard are moving into position.

The American Red Cross has mobilized thousands of trained volunteers to impacted areas and has loaded up ninety-nine tractor-trailers loaded with relief supplies including cots, blankets and 63,000 ready-to-eat meals.
