Pope Francis accidentally sent a shout out for the New Orleans Saints football team.
The Pope sent a letter saying: “Today we give thanks to the Lord for our new #Saints. They walk by faith and now we invoke their intercession.”
The Pope’s message was actually about newly canonized Saints.
But he hashtagged to the word ‘Saint.’
It turns out, as part of the NFL’s partnership with Twitter, when you hashtag Saints, the New Orleans Saints logo is automatically added to the message.
The New Orleans Saints, by the way, ended up beating the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Coincidence? Hmmm…
