The Coast Guard just released dramatic video of the high seas seizure of 18 tons of cocaine and marijuana valued at more than $569 million.
Coast Guard members spotted a semi-subversive vessel – half underwater and half exposed – as it raced through the East Pacific Ocean.
When orders to stop didn’t work, members of the Guard jumped on the boat while it was still moving just like a scene out of an action movie.
They forced open the top of the boat to reveal the smugglers inside.
Check it out.
There were five people inside the vessel.
They were turned over to the US Drug Enforcement Administration for prosecution.
Officials say the drugs are part of a multijurisdictional seizure in international waters over the past two months.
We want to warn you.
