Authorities in Virginia say Julia Tomlin, the mother of missing two-year-old Noah Tomlin, has been arrested in his disappearance.
Police say Tomlin was arrested on suspicion of felony child neglect but she has not been formally charged yet.
Tomlin’s arrest comes after she said the little boy vanished from his bed in their home.
Tomlin initially said her son was last seen when he was put to bed around 1 AM Monday morning.
She reported him missing at 11:30 AM.
Local, state and federal authorities immediately became involved in the investigation.
Police say they searched land, sea and air, by foot and with drones and sonar.
Noah is presumed dead but authorities say they will continue to search for him.
The local police chief says he will never give up hope.
