We have an update to a story we brought you last night.
Today ICE raids were supposed to take place in 10 cities across the country.
The ten cities include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Houston, New Orleans, Miami, Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago and New York.
Immigration agents planned to arrest and deport about 2,000 immigrant families.
But late Saturday afternoon President Trump announced he was delaying the raids by two weeks in order to give Republicans and Democrats time to come up with an immigration solution.
But if they don’t, the President said he would then go ahead with deportations.
In response to the threat of ICE raids, immigration activists in several cities handed out ‘Know Your Rights’ cards like this one in Los Angeles.
It says: I do not wish to speak to you, answer your questions or sign or hand you any documents based on my Fifth Amendment rights under the United States Constitution.
I do not give you permission to enter my home based on my Fourth Amendment rights under the United States Constitution unless you have a warrant to enter, signed by a judge or magistrate with my name on it that you slide under my door.
I do not give you permission to search any of my belongings based on my Fourth Amendment rights.
I choose to exercise my constitutional rights.
