On Thursday, Chicago police released 460 pages from the Jussie Smollett investigation.
The documents includes arrest reports, case reports and supplementary files.
They also reveal that Chicago detectives knew about a possible deal in the case a month before charges were actually dropped.
The records were unsealed last week despite objections from Smollett’s legal team.
Smollett originally faced 16 felony charges in connection with his claim that he was the victim of a crime in January, which authorities came to believe was false.
Investigators said he made up the story and paid two brothers of Nigerian descent to stage the attack.
The charges against the actor and former star of Empire were dropped on March 26.
