13 years ago Coca-Cola introduced a coffee flavored version of its signature product called Coca-Cola Blak.
Coke fans hated it!
The company scrapped the new drink two years later.
Coke officials say the drink failed in 2006 because of bad timing.
But now thanks to evolving trends and palates, the company thinks the public is ready to be reintroduced to Coca-Cola Blak – sort of.
For the past few years “Coca-Cola Plus Coffee” has been tested in international markets with favorable feedback.
This version contains more real coffee and is more caffeinated than regular Coke.
It is available in Australia, Italy, Spain, Thailand, Poland, among other countries.
Coca-Cola says it hasn’t committed to bringing the product to the United States just yet.
