Last month in Chicago, 19-year-old Marlen Ochoa-Lopez went missing after she went to a home to pick up a stroller and baby clothes from a woman she met through Facebook.
Ochoa-Lopez was nine months pregnant.
On the same day she went missing, the Chicago fire department received a 911 call about a newborn in distress at the same home Ochoa-Lopez visited.
Police say 46-year-old Clarissa Figueroa told them she just had the baby.
Police became suspicious of her story and did a DNA test on the baby.
Tests revealed the baby belong to Ochoa-Lopez.
Police say Figueroa and her daughter Desiree strangled the expectant mother with a cable, removed her unborn baby from her womb and then disposed of the woman’s body in a garbage can in the backyard of their house.
The baby is listed in grave condition at the hospital.
The mother and daughter are now facing first-degree murder charges.
The mother’s boyfriend Piotr Bobak has been charged with concealing a death.
