California wants to see President Trump’s tax returns.
So much so that the state Senate just passed a bill that would keep Trump off the 2020 primary ballot until he releases them.
The bill would require any presidential candidate to release five years worth of income tax returns to be considered by voters.
It’s something Trump has yet to do.
But if this bill becomes law and he still doesn’t release them, he might not be on the California primary ballot in 2020.
Similar bills are making its way through the Washington and New Jersey state legislatures.
