On Tuesday night a driver in Sunnyvale, California mowed down a group of pedestrians walking on the sidewalk.
The victims ranged in age from 9 to 52 years old.
The driver was arrested at the scene and identified as 34-year-old Isaiah Peoples.
After his arrest, police say Peoples indicated he did it intentionally.
Police say he targeted the group because he believed they were Muslim.
Peoples has been charged with 8 counts of attempted murder and faces up to life in prison.
