Venezuela’s Information Minister says the power outage that left most of the country in the dark for a week has been restored.
But the widespread power outages left many parts of the country vulnerable to vandalism and looting.
The windows of many storefronts have been smashed and the shelves stripped bare of food and supplies.
The Information Minister also said 80 percent of the country now has clean drinking water.
But when Venezuelans in the the northern state of Carabobo turned on their water, this is what they saw.
This is video of black water coming out of the kitchen sink.
The man who shot the video says the liquid has a horrible smell and that the same thing is happening to his neighbors.
The mayor of Carabobo says the city is home to an old oil refinery and the water issue is a result of human error, not related to the power outage.
