An emergency has been declared in Sonoma County, California.
Rising floodwaters continue to engulf communities, triggering evacuation orders.
Torrential rains have caused the Russian River that rushes through the area to break its banks, turning roads into rivers, swamping cars and buildings and isolating at least one community.
The river is expected to crested at over 46 feet, more than 10 feet higher than flood stage.
Flooding isn’t the only threat people are facing.
Landslides, mudslides and falling trees are wrecking havoc across the county as well.
Some people are saying everything they’ve worked so hard for is now gone.
