For more than 30 years the “Flying Words Project” has toured the world showcasing the amazing talents of Deaf poet Peter Cook and hearing co-author Kenny Lerner.
They merge ASL and poetry to create powerful moving pictures so the audience, Deaf and hearing, can see the images come to life on stage.
Recently the “Flying Words Project” made a stop in Atlanta for a performance at Emory University.
In addition to their performance, Cook and Lerner also shared the stage with three local Deaf performers including our own Sign1News anchor Jethro Wooddall.
Take a look.
