In Arizona, a 29-year-old patient who is been in a coma for 14 years at the Hacienda Healthcare Facility suddenly gave birth to a baby boy earlier this week.
Police were called when the baby “coded” – meaning it was having trouble breathing.
Right now police are trying to figure out who is responsible for the sexual assault of the woman.
Police say this sexual assault case could be just the tip of the iceberg.
They are now collecting DNA from all the male workers in an attempt to nail down a suspect.
Police say it’s only a matter of time before they catch their suspect.
The mother and child have been moved to a hospital where they are both recovering.
She remains in a vegetative state.
Hacienda officials have called the situation a “deeply disturbing incident” and say they are cooperating with law enforcement and state agencies.
The company’s chief executive officer Bill Timmons resigned Monday.
