Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins posted on Twitter that he is giving his paycheck from the upcoming weekend’s playoff game to the family of Jazmine Barnes.
Barnes is the seven-year-old girl shot to death when a man opened fire on her family’s vehicle in Houston Sunday.
Hopkins says the little girl reminds him of his own daughter and he will be playing in her honor.
According to the NFL, Hopkins will make $29,000 for playing in the game.
Hopkins wants the family to use the money to pay for Jazmine’s funeral and to help find her killer.
