In April, Hilda Hall, a transgender woman, went to get a prescription filled at a CVS in Phoenix, Arizona.
Hall says a CVS pharmacy refused to fill her hormone therapy prescription.
Hall says the pharmacist made her feel embarrassed, loudly asking in front of others why she needed the prescription.
Hall says the pharmacist didn’t give her a reason for refusing to fill it.
Hall tried talking to CVS customer service but nothing happened.
Now, she has filed a complaint with the Arizona State Board of pharmacy.
In a statement CVS says the pharmacist violated policy and no longer works for them.
CVS offered their apologies to Hall.
And said the incident does not reflect their values.
